I’m proud to debut a new way to generate our badge profiles. We realize many forums will not allow you to embed .php in [img] tags. So now, we truly generate images with your profile info.
The first option ‘In-Game’ will allow you to have a specific background based on whatever game you are in. So if you’re playing TF2, a TF2 related image will be your background, if you’re playing Left 4 Dead, a Left 4 Dead image will be used.
Also, thank you user Alexander for contributing the ‘Steam Profile’ background.

In regards to the addon system for the forums, is there any possible way to have it interactive again (able to add, or join in game from drop down) instead of a static image?

We initially had that ability, but the strain on our servers was a bit too much as steam profile grew in popularity. I will look in to adding the functionality back with a more web server friendly approach.
